Ingredients

10 oz Amber Farms spaghetti
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup red wine (optional)
Parmesan cheese, grated (for serving)

Instructions

1. Cook the Amber Farms spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
3. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
4. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
5. If using, pour in the red wine and stir to combine. Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
6. Serve the spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce on top. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Chef’s Recommendations:

  • For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and pork.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Use fresh herbs instead of dried for an even fresher taste.
  • Don’t forget to reserve some pasta water to add to the sauce if it becomes too thick.
  • Serve with garlic bread and a simple salad for a complete meal.
